GAC 2003 uses the most modern treatments and finishing to deliver advanced fabrics with outstanding functional properties.

What are Treatments?

In order to impart the required functional properties to the fiber or fabric, it is customary to subject the material to different types of physical and chemical treatments. For example, wash and wear finish for a cotton fabric is necessary to make it crease-free or wrinkle-free. In a similar way, mercerising, singeing, flame retardant, water repellent, waterproof, anti-static and peach finishing achieve various fabric properties desired by consumers.

3M™ Protective Material FC-226

3M™ Protective Material FC-226 is a non-fluorochemical product that imparts durable water absorbency (wicking) and stain release properties to 100% polyester fabrics or yarns, These benefits can be seen on other synthetics such as nylon and acrylic, however the advantages are not as dramatic as on 100% polyester. FC-226 will, in some cases, marginally improve fabric softness and may enhance dye bath lubrication.

When fabrics are properly treated with FC-226, most stains are generally removed during one home laundering. For stubborn stains, additional washes may be required for complete stain removal.

Polygiene® Odor Control Technology

Clothes, footwear and gear stay fresh and last longer bluesign® approved Polygiene® permanent odor control technology is based on silver salt (silver chloride) made from recycled silver. It neutralizes odor by stopping the growth of odor-causing bacteria and fungi on the fabric.

Clothes, footwear and gear stay fresh and odor free, and can be worn several times before washing. Plus they last longer because excessive washing and bacteria never get the chance to break down the fibers. Polygiene has no effect on your skin and helps reduce your environmental footprint, too.
